Using LTSI For Real Usecases - Tsugikazu Shibata, NEC

Linux is already being dominant for almost all the IT system such as Enterprise, Embedded, Supercomputer, industry-manufacturing and Cloud computing.Requirement of life time of Linux are different for each spaces, 2 to 3 years, 7-10 years and 10-20 years. LTSI was started 2011 for embedded space but different users want to use LTSI now a days. Also, according to new use case, another requirement of maintaining Linux have had happened. The purpose of the presentation is to provide how LTSI can help industry developers and discuss about new use case/requirements. Also, I will present current status of LTSI and its plan.

Tsugikazu Shibata is LTSI Project lead. Tsugikazu Shibata is Chief advanced Technologies of NEC and he has been working on coordinating the relationship between industry and community since the early days of Japanese Linux community. He have spoken at number of Open Source conferences such as LinuxCon, Embedded Linux Conference and OpenStack summit. He is also a board member of the Linux Foundation.
