As Internet of Things (IoT) becomes a reality, efficient analysis of the data avalanche flowing from various sensors and machinery are crucial in analyzing operational performance, reducing equipment failures and maintenance costs. We would like to open the door to a highly efficient, open source data integration and analysis platform, Pentaho, which offers seamless capabilities to streamline big data and real-time IoT data by integrating, transforming and analyzing diverse data types. Unwinding useful insights from big data is actualized with Pentaho's intelligent analytical strategy and flexible cloud-ready platform with native connectivity to Hadoop, NoSQL stores and analytical databases coupled with predictive modelling and interactive visualizations. We aim to discuss its tremendous possibilities and various challenges and motivate organizations to derive value out their big data.
