As a SaaS vendor building a product that for compliance reasons requires a component to be run within a customers data center, continuous deployment is difficult to accomplish. Especially with legacy approaches like passing around versioned tarballs or virtual appliance files. But with the introduction of containers, we can pass a lightweight managed environment that is upgraded on demand to a customer's host machine. In this talk Jacob Rideout will walk through how Agari deploys across organizational boundaries, the open sources tools used and the challenges faced and overcome deploying to their remote customers sites.
